SINNERS CHAPTER II: CHANA - INDEPENDENT SHORT FILM SOUND

“Kabir created the complete sound design and Kabir and Kaizad scored the background music for my short film. Music was to play a major role in bringing the film to life, as there was minimum dialogue in the 15 min film. I was very particular about the sound I wanted. After 3 – 4 sessions of music sittings, I got music that was beyond my expectation. I was very impressed the duo’s understanding of the kind of sound I was looking for, and more so, Kaizad’s ability to render that. On the sound design, since we didn’t have any location sound, a complete sound design had to be created. The sound design Kabir and his team created sounded so natural to the ear – like it was sync sound. Achieving quality work on a very tight timeline was really very impressive. Kabir and Kaizad are a talented duo to work with and I definitely look forward to collaborating with them on future projects.””

THE WAITING PLACE - INDEPENDENT SHORT FILM SOUND

“Working with Kabir on my short film, THE WAITING PLACE, was an absolute joy. Not only was our communication effortless, but I was lucky enough to be able to describe sounds in my head that he would then design for the film. Constantly open to challenging his own decisions, Kabir would push his own envelope and I was privy to his creative process which bore the seeds of a perfectionist. The film was shown at 9 festivals across the world and won a few awards. And I have to say, that as soon as I told Kabir that the sound design in this film was a character itself, he knew that in a sense he was co-writing the film with sound. ”
